Motor well was two small and would not allow for proper clearance.  Back to the shop for modifications.

Reframed the opening plus added furring and a new 3/4" plywood overlay.

The hull receives a layer of 6oz cloth as a final protective coat.  The problem with installing vertical fiberglass cloth is the basket weave shows through.  If you try to add enough epoxy to cover the basket weave you will have runs and basket weave.  So multipole coats of primer plus fairing between coats is the next process.

Found a good deal on a trailer.  Old but has been fitted with new axles, springs, tires & rims and completely rewired. 

The boat was relatively easy to install on the trailer.  I attached a new winch strap and with a little help from my floor jack to raise the stern she slid right up on the trailer.

The second layer of plywood laid at 90 degrees to the first layer and overlapping the seams gets a lot more labor intense..  In order to add extra rigidity to the hull I added a layer of 6oz fiberglass cloth against the first layer and then laid the second layer over the cloth before the epoxy had set. The screws are #6x1" three inch on center.  Each row follows a stringer  Once the epoxy is somewhat cured the screws are backed out and the fender washer removed.  The screws are then reset into the hull.

Starting to frame the cuddy deck.  I opted to eliminate the camber which made the framing much easier.

The photo shows the transom in the motor well.  The two smaller girders behind the transom were removed as they did not leave enough room for the motor (Honda 60) to turn.

At this point my son came to visit and we ran all the wires for the electrical system.

Got a little behind on photos.  The starboard side has received its first layer of 1/4" plywood.

Unfortunately during turn over the crew was rather busy and no one thought to take pictures.  You can see the upright pole with the chain from the hoist.  The strap runs around the boat and as the boat is turned the strap slides through the hook on the hoist chain.

A picture of the bow showing the strap running through the chain hoist hook.  Once the boat was level we added blocking along the building frame to stabilize the hull.

A stern view showing the #4 helm bulkhead and #8 bulkhead which was installed in lue of the transom.  The transom will be fit between the two girders seen in the bottom of the photo. 

Looking forward with the cockpit sole and hatch covers installed.  The shape of the bow is still a work in progress.

The hull receives two layers of 6mm marine plywood bonded with thickened epoxy and synthetic staples.  The perimeter is screwed with SS screws 3" on center for each layer.

The plywood is then covered with 6oz fiberglass cloth and coated with epoxy.

Two coats of primer and two coats of marine paint sanded and fairred.

Turning a boat this size over is no small task.  I decided to do the turnover prior to sheeting the sides so the weight would not be unmanageable.  The photo is showing a prototype of a device to hold one leg of a gantry crane.  The header will be attached to the end of a 14' leg.  The fulcrum jib will allow the legs to be assembled in the lower position and then tilted upright and bolted in place.  One pair for the bow and one pair for the stern with a chain hoist attached to the header.
